Greg Proctor, PE earned his BS degree in Civil engineering from North Carolina State University and began his career in the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). In 1980, Greg joined what was then known as Daniel Carnahan Consulting Engineers, Inc.
He started as a designer/field engineer and quickly rose through to President/Owner of Carnahan, Proctor & Cross, Inc. (CPC). Upon taking ownership in 2005, he began and continuously led the firm’s expansion. Responsibilities in his professional career included all aspects of Development and Civil Engineering; design, permitting, estimating, and construction management together with all aspects of Planning/Zoning/Land Use and Surveying/Platting.
Over his 41-year career, Greg administered Design and Management of private and public projects dealing with Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Public Utility and Roadway projects in one of the most robust Development oriented States in the country.
Under Greg’s leadership, Carnahan, Proctor and Cross Inc. (CPC) has grown from a small “general civil” company to a full-service firm diversified in several Practice areas of “General Civil”, “Municipal/Government”, “Survey/Geomatics” and “CEI (Construction Engineering Inspection)” serving geographical areas across the country including the US Virgin Islands (USVI).
The firm has grown with the emphasis on using the latest technology and design software such that services provided include Drones, 3D laser scanning, and BIM (Building Information Model).
With the Firm’s growth, CPC has excelled to where it has been acknowledged as being ranked in the Top 25 Engineering Firms in Florida for the past six (6) years in a row. While growing as a Small Business, Greg was an outspoken advocate and participant in the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Small Business Program having roles of both moderator and speaker for several FDOT annual events, helping to further brand and set forth CPC’s name and reputation.
