Grant Dempsey
Vice-President of Corporate I.T. and Security
Grant Dempsey brings over 15 years of proven leadership in cyber operations, IT infrastructure, and enterprise software development. His career spans military service, defence intelligence, corporate IT, and full-stack engineering, giving him a unique ability to bridge strategy with hands-on technical execution.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Grant served as a Cryptologic Technician and Naval Air-crewman from 2006 to 2014. Stationed at Misawa Air Base in Japan, he deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, accumulating enough war zone flight hours to earn the Naval Air Medal. Later, serving at Buckley Air Force Base, he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for outstanding performance in joint operations across all branches of the military.
Transitioning to the private sector, Grant worked as an Analyst at Lockheed Martin, where he led teams analyzing real-time intelligence to support multi-agency operations. He went on to found GGD Web Services, a development and cloud services company, and joined Tarian Security, where he manages IT systems, servers, and databases for critical energy-sector operations.
Grant is purpose-driven and future-focused, known for his situational awareness. dependability, attention to detail, leadership, work-ethic, positive morale. and resiliency under pressure. He has designed and secured systems across industries, delivered scalable enterprise applications, and led diverse teams through high-stakes environments.
He graduated from the Turing School of Software and Design in Backend Engineering and is currently attending Dakota State University, pursuing a degree in Cyber Operations with expected graduation in Fall 2026. Grant is also deeply committed to supporting veterans transitioning into civilian careers, mentoring service members as they apply their skills in technology and security.
Outside of work, he values time with his family and the close community he has built through both military and professional service. He is fascinated with encryption, American football, decentralized peer-to-peer networks such as Bitcoin, snowboarding. and the emerging applications of artificial intelligence.
